Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative (GSSI) Representative Meets with the Vietnam Tuna Association (VINATUNA) and Sea Delight Representatives in Nha Trang, Vietnam
On October 11, 2022, Ms. Eva van van Heukelom met with representatives of VINATUNA and Sea Delight LLC at the VINATUNA offices in Nha Trang Vietnam. Ms. Heukelom shared a very informative presentation on the GSSI Global Benchmark programs for seafood sustainability certification and on at-sea social responsibility. She also included the GSSI Measuring and Accelerating Performance of global seafood supply program (GSSI Seafood Map) in the presentation.
VINATUNA Chairman Mr. Vũ Đình Đáp expressed interest in all the of the programs especially the possibility of including some small-scale neritic tuna fisheries in the Seafood MAP program. Sea Delight representative talked about Sea Delight’s participation in the GSSI projects. In general, it was an informative and encouraging first meeting.
