HUman Rights Due Diligence
Sea Delight is deeply committed to social responsibility and human rights in its supply chain. We require all product processors to maintain clear documentation of their advancements in credible social responsibility and undergo annual social compliance audits, especially those from high-risk countries associated with seafood-related child and/or forced labor. These audits must align with internationally recognized standards like SEDEX/SMETA, AMFORI, BSCI, SA8000, or others endorsed by the Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative. Additionally, supplementary measures may be required to support their Human Rights Due Diligence Program.
At Sea Delight, we uphold internationally recognized Human Rights standards in the regions from which we source our products. Our Supplier Code of Conduct articulates our fundamental expectations for all suppliers within our supply chain, and adherence to these standards is non-negotiable. Guided by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, we vehemently prohibit the purchase of any product associated with child and/or forced labor. We ensure that all our products are sourced and imported from certified processors fully compliant with United States and international laws and regulations.
We understand social audits are not enough to mitigate risk. This is why we are currently working on developing a more robust Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) program and will update the site as we continue to make progress on this topic.
